International Air Cadet Exchange in Texas 2007IACE is coming to Texas again! They will be here from 19 July to 28 July (dates subject to change). For the detailed schedule for the Austin part of the cadets' stay, click here (DOC). They will be arriving in Austin on 25 July and meeting the host families at the Pope's House (for directions, please email Maj Richard Pope).We are still in need of two host families for the IACE cadets visiting Austin next month. There are four male cadets that need families to host them, that means a place for them to sleep and have breakfast and when nothing else is scheduled to socialize! Three of the cadets are from other countries and one is the Texas cadet that is helping to chaperone the visitors. If you are interested in hosting any of these cadets, normally we pair them up so you would be hosting two or more it's up to you! But, if you are interested and need more details please contact LTC Dawn King. LTC King is the Texas Wing coordinator for IACE and has been for about the last seven years so she can answer all your questions. I will be helping out this year by taking over for LTC King because she is getting to travel to Sweden as part of IACE. However, she is still coordinating things before she leaves. Last year the Petrosky's and Shockley's and Major Draper hosted cadets and really enjoyed it! So, you could also talk to them about it. Thank you very much! LTC Debbie French |
