Howdy all,

Take careful note of the following information.  All must be successful and complete in its execution.  If any are not successful or complete the result is a "NO-GO" either on the part of the individual or the entire event.

1)  RSVP for Parent's Meeting July 23rd 8:30-9:30

2) RSVP for Venture Crew Members Meeting July 23rd 12:30-1:00

3) RSVP due July 23rd  for Event July 29-30

4) Forms due at July 23rd meeting.  If you are not at the meeting, please have forms at event.  No forms "NO-GO"

http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/whole.pdf - parts A and B only for this event.  (Take part C to your Crew Member's next physical exam for future outings)

5) Need Volunteers to execute the following duties.  I can provide all contact information, make introductions and guidance.  I just cannot do it all or be in multiple places at the same time.

*  Paper Work Organizer:  This person will list the RSVP's and collect and organize the paperwork.  Reconcile the RSVP list to paperwork and if necessary contact the discrepancies.  Make a copy of all the forms organized in two three ring binders, one for the event and another as a backup to keep at a separate location with another Crew Leader.

* Lunch Organizer:  This person will contact Ghost Town Burgers to inquire the cost for a Boy Scout group ordering approx. fifteen combo meals.  (they have consistently offered event attendees at ARC $6 combo meals.) Place an order for the number of burger meals.  Collect monies from participants.  Pick up burger meals from Ghost Town Burgers and deliver to ARC.  (Ghost Town Burgers is not even a mile from the range)

*Construction Engineer:  This person will oversee the service project to make 50 target stands.  ARC will purchase all materials and deliver to the range.  This person will need to be intimately familiar with the target stand plans, http://lonestar.texas.net/~mberg/guns/targets/targetsstand.pdf ; This person will need to solicit tools from the Crew at large, and the return of the equipment.  I would suggest this person to plan an assembly line process as well as to pre cut lumber for several stands in order for an assembly line process start.

*Construction Engineering Crew: a support group for the Construction Engineer.  These people will follow direction from the Engineer and teach the participants.  Ideally Construction Crew Members will have key posts in the assembly line process

*Ammunition and Gun Cleaning Engineer:  We need .22lr ammo.  All rifles will need to be cleaned.  This person will work with the Venture Crew finance person to determine if funds are available for ammunition and gun cleaning gear.  This person can either purchase supplies outright, collect funds from Crew Members participating, (keep the per head expense extremely reasonable), inform Crew Members of an additional fee for supplies if necessary, or solicit donations or to borrow cleaning equipment.  Responsible for the return of the equipment in reasonable condition.

Please volunteer for these positions ASAP!  I would like to go into the parent meeting with a "GO"  and not start the meeting with a "NO-GO" possibility.

Thank you,

Sharon Cundiff
