Safety
If you have visited the Wing web site, you have been
reminded that this weekend presents safety hazards for those traveling
on highways ,on the water, & in the air. Alcohol will be
responsible for many injuries and fatalities over the three day
Memorial Day Holiday! Be responsible and have a sober driver if you or
others at the event drink. Approach auto travel as you would an air
flight. Perform a pre trip inspection of your vehicle including
checking the air in the spare! Assess driver condition, mentally and
physically, if you are fatigued, rest before driving.Pass these
thoughts on to your squadrons. We were also reminded by the National
commander for Cadets that this weekend begins the critical 101 days of
summer. With increased outdoor activity in the air, ground and on
water, our use of common sense and conscious risk assessment and
management will increase the likelihood of enjoyable safe activities.
Think Safety in all you do!
